Just Water was one of the very first mainstays of the New York Punk Rock scene, 1974-1979. Just Water were regulars at CBGB's and Max's Kansas City, sharing bills with Talking Heads, Blondie, Mink Deville, The Ramones, The Planets, The Heartbreakers, and The Fast. Just Water's "Singin' In The Rain" was the first record since 96 Tears (by Question Mark & The Mysterians) to gain heavy radio play in the USA without the backing of any record company. Singin' In The Rain was subsequently issued on Stiff Records throughout the UK and Europe. Just Water released one of the punk era's first independent LPs, The Riff. Just Water's second LP Meet The Competition, recorded in 1978, was lost for almost 30 years, and has finally been released. Just Water - (C) 2007-2017 Branded Records |
