Just Water's guitarists used the same Hiwatt guitar amps at every gig of their 7 year career. Danny used a few stomp pedals but mostly went directly into his Hiwatt. Mitch was pre-amped through a small Fender Princeton, and then into the Hiwatt to keep the crunch even at low volumes. In 1972 Hiwatt amps were still hand wired in England, and the sole US distributor was a one-man operation in New York's Flatiron Building. There was no US inventory of Hiwatts, so Mitch and Danny waited for months for the overseas delivery. Danny and Mitch each used Hiwatt 100 watt heads with two 4x12 cabinets loaded with Fane Of London speakers. The roadies hated carrying these incredibly heavy amps, but Hiwatt survived every beer soaked club for years without a single failure.
